Welcome to this body of work, born from the deepest conversations with myself, as a record of everything I carry inside.
Espinas is the final stage of a personal process shaped by everything I have lived and everything that has become part of who I am. It holds my past and carries my future, an exploration of what nourishes me, what protects me, and how we adapt to what surrounds us.
In nature, growth creates its own forms of protection. Prickles develop as part of a plant’s growth, shaped by its genetic code, becoming part of the living structure that sustains it. This exploration in glass gives form to every stage that moved me forward, every re-direction, and all those lovely espinas that brought me to this beautiful present.
Each piece was handcrafted using traditional glassblowing and flameworking techniques in borosilicate glass. No repetitions will be made. Each Espina is a one-off.
